Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena was released from police custody in Mexico's Yucatan state on Thursday, sources told Victor Alvarez of ESPN.

Arozarena won't be charged and a hearing scheduled for Thursday was suspended after he reached an agreement with his former partner, who decided not to take legal action against him, legal sources told ESPN.

Arozarena was arrested earlier in the week after allegedly trying to take his daughter away from her mother, who is his ex-partner, and assaulting the woman's father.

The Rays said Tuesday they were aware of Arozarena's detention but would not comment further.
