It looks like Ronald Acuna Jr.'s absence from the Atlanta Braves' lineup will last a little longer.

The All-Star outfielder will sit out his team's three-game weekend series against the Miami Marlins due to left wrist discomfort caused by inflammation, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.

Acuna has missed Atlanta's last two games but isn't expected to require a stint on the injured list. He is considered day-to-day.

"They did all the tests and everything and it's just irritated," Braves manager Brian Snitker said Wednesday night. "Hopefully he can get it calmed down. We'll re-evaluate him (on Monday), but this was probably as good of news as we can get."

Acuna has slashed .258/.372/.515 with four home runs, nine RBIs, and a stolen base in 18 games this season. Defensively, the 22-year-old has split time between right field and center field.

Ender Inciarte has started the Braves' last two games in center. Marcell Ozuna and Nick Markakis will likely patrol the corners against Miami, while Adam Duvall will serve as the fourth option and occasional designated hitter.
