Tampa Bay Rays left-hander Blake Snell and New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge made a friendly wager Thursday night about which of their teams would win more games against the other if the 2020 season is played.

Both players put $5,000 on the line, with the proceeds going to charity, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

"We should make, like, a friendly little wager on a head-to-head competition, whoever wins more games between the Rays and the Yankees," Snell said in an Instagram Live chat with Judge. "Whoever wins more games, the loser has to donate five grand to the winner's charity of choice. What you think about that?"

Judge didn't hesitate.

"I'm in, man," Judge said. "You know I've got faith in my boys, dawg. We've got this. Hey, this is easy."

Assuming the season does get underway, the bet will add another wrinkle to the competition between two of the AL East's top teams.

The Yankees had the advantage in 2019, winning 12 of the 19 contests between the two clubs.
