Alex Rodriguez has done a lot to rehabilitate his image since retiring, but one of his contemporaries isn't buying it.
"Kudos to him on his career after baseball and what he's done for people," four-time All-Star Paul Lo Duca told Moose and Maggie on WFAN 660. "But, I'm sorry, I'm not a fan and never will be. I think he's one of the fakest people out there. ... The way he gets put on a pedestal now is beyond me."
Rodriguez has become one of the most popular ESPN broadcast analysts since he walked away from the game. He's become a regular member of the Sunday Night Baseball booth alongside play-by-play man Matt Vasgersian.

Rodriguez weighed in on the Houston Astros' sign-stealing scandal during a spring training broadcast, saying the team "earned whatever comes (its) way." He also confronted his own cheating scandal and compared it to the Astros', which didn't sit well with Lo Duca.
"For him to come out and talk about scandals ... those two negatives make no positives," Lo Duca said.
Lo Duca was actually implicated alongside Rodriguez in the Mitchell Report for using performance-enhancing drugs. However, the former catcher wasn't bothered by the act of cheating itself but rather the fact Rodriguez lied about his involvement "for years, after years, after years, after years, and cashed in $260 million."
Lo Duca made appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Florida Marlins, New York Mets, and Washington Nationals during his 11-year career, hitting .286/.337/.409 with 80 homers and 20 steals.
