Yadi: 'That's it for me' if Cardinals don't sign me beyond 2020

Yadier Molina intends on being a member of the St. Louis Cardinals for his entire career. He's just not sure when that career will end.

The veteran catcher is bound for free agency following the 2020 season when his current contract with the Cardinals expires. In the event St. Louis doesn't re-sign him, Molina told Anne Rogers of MLB.com "that's it for me."

"I also said (two years ago) that if the Cardinals want me, that's the only team I want to play for," Molina continued, according to Rogers. "So it's still like that, too, if they want me. But if they don't, if they want to move apart, that's it for me."

The 37-year-old was drafted in the fourth round of the 2000 draft by the Cardinals. Since making his debut as a 21-year-old in 2004, Molina has gone on to win two World Series titles, nine Gold Glove awards, and four Platinum Gloves, as well as one Silver Slugger. The nine-time All-Star played 1,983 games over 16 seasons, hitting .282/.333/.405 with 156 homers, 379 doubles, and 916 RBIs.
