It looks as though Jerry Dipoto, baseball's most trade-happy executive, might get another chance to swing a major deal this offseason.

With a number of teams looking for help at third base, Seattle Mariners veteran Kyle Seager is generating interest from multiple clubs, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Seager is no longer the All-Star player he was in 2014, but he still provides solid production at the position. He was limited to 106 games last season, hitting .239/.321/.468 with 23 home runs, 19 doubles and 63 RBIs, including a .864 OPS in the second half.

The 32-year-old is owed $38 million over the next two seasons. He has a $15 million team option for 2022, which becomes a player option if he's traded. As a result, the Mariners would likely have to pay part of Seager's salary in any deal or accept another high-priced contract as part of the return in a trade.

The Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, Texas Rangers, and Los Angeles Dodgers are among a number of teams looking for help at third base. With Anthony Rendon and Mike Moustakas having already signed contracts, teams that miss out on top free agent Josh Donaldson could pivot to looking for a trade. Chicago Cubs star Kris Bryant and Colorado Rockies perennial Gold Glove winner Nolan Arenado are reportedly available, but teams would have to give up top prospects and make a significant financial commitment in order to acquire either of them.

Seager has spent his entire career in Seattle, hitting 198 home runs in 1,261 games.
