The Washington Nationals exorcised their demons on Tuesday thanks to sophomore superstar Juan Soto and an error from Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Trent Grisham.

Coming up with the bases loaded and two out in the eighth, Soto knocked a 95-mph fastball from Josh Hader into right field that looked bound to score two and tie the game. However, after Grisham overran the play slightly, and the ball bounced underneath the right fielder's glove, Anthony Rendon was able to score from first base, representing the eventual winning run.

The play wound up being scored as a single, while Soto was thrown out for the final out attempting to advance to third base.

Daniel Hudson came on in the top of the ninth to get the final three outs, punching the Nats' ticket to the National League Division Series.
