Astros' Cole 'ready to go' Thursday vs. Angels

It looks like Gerrit Cole's absence will be a short one.
The Houston Astros right-hander said Monday he's "ready to go" to start Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
Cole was scratched shortly before his last scheduled start on Aug. 13 with a hamstring injury that flared up during warmups.
He completed a bullpen session and fielded ground balls on Monday.
Cole remains one of the front-runners for the AL Cy Young award. He's 14-5 with a 2.87 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 13.0 K/9 over 25 starts.
