The Cincinnati Reds could be one of MLB's busiest clubs leading up to the July 31 trade deadline.
Outfielder Yasiel Puig, right-hander Tanner Roark, second baseman Scooter Gennett, and closer Raisel Iglesias are all in play, sources tell Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Iglesias is signed through 2021, while the other three are free agents at the end of this season.
The Reds are in fourth place in the NL Central with a 47-55 record. They trail the St. Louis Cardinals by eight games, and the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers by seven.
Puig started the season slowly, but he's been an offensive force of late. Overall, he's hitting .260/.309/.489 with 22 homers and 13 stolen bases.
Gennett has only appeared in 17 games after missing most of the season with a groin injury. He's batting .185 since his activation.
Roark is 6-6 with a 3.95 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across 20 starts after being acquired from the Washington Nationals during the offseason.
Iglesias has been shaky from the bullpen, posting a 4.50 ERA over 44 innings. From 2016 to 2018, however, he was one of the NL's most consistent relievers while recording a 2.47 ERA with 64 saves.
Additionally, left-handed reliever Amir Garrett is drawing interest, but the Reds are reluctant to move him, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
