The Philadelphia Phillies are one of the teams looking at Cincinnati Reds right-hander Tanner Roark in a potential trade, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Cincinnati acquired Roark in an offseason trade with the Washington Nationals. The 32-year-old has gone 6-6 with a 3.95 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in 20 starts with the club and is poised to hit free agency following the 2019 campaign.
The Phillies have been linked to a number of starting pitchers on the trade market in recent weeks, including Zack Greinke, Robbie Ray, Trevor Bauer, and others.
Philadelphia's starters have been inconsistent, posting a 4.49 ERA this season. Additionally, veteran right-hander Jake Arrieta is dealing with a bone spur in his elbow that may eventually require surgery.
