Astros select Cal catcher Korey Lee No. 32 overall

With the 32nd pick in the 2019 MLB amateur draft, the Houston Astros selected Korey Lee, a catcher from Cal.

Lee joins Golden Bears teammate Andrew Vaughn as a first-round pick after hitting behind the 2018 Golden Spikes Award winner this past season. The catcher showed good power during his junior year, and he's the first backstop the Astros have drafted in the opening round since selecting Jason Castro 10th overall in 2008.
