With the 15th pick in the 2019 MLB amateur draft, the Los Angeles Angels selected Will Wilson, a shortstop out of North Carolina State.

Wilson became the second NC State shortstop to be selected in the first round in the last five years after Trea Turner was picked 13th overall in 2014.

The 20-year-old may not look like an intimidating presence at the dish, but he's got thunder in his bat.

Scouts project that he'll need to move to second base to make up for his below-average speed, although his quick hands and good decision making could keep him at short.

MLB.com money quote: "Though he's not physically imposing, Wilson has quick hands and deceptive strength that give him at least above-average raw power. A right-handed hitter, he has a knack for putting the barrel on the ball. He shows the ability to hit for average and power, and he has done a better job of drawing walks this spring despite his aggressive approach."
