Randal Grichuk, Tim Anderson get into Twitter beef over bat flips
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Randal Grichuk is apparently not the biggest fan of bat flips.
The 27-year-old offered his thoughts on the recent surge of home run celebrations, suggesting players need to calm down.
Guys are getting a little excessive on pimping HRs, on meaningless HRs too. Act like you have done it before, one time.

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson took notice. Anderson unleashed an epic bat toss after he hit a two-run home run in Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals. He was hit with the first pitch of his very next at-bat, and was subsequently ejected along with Royals hurler Brad Keller.
The timing of Grichuk's tweet may have suggested he was talking about the slugging infielder. Anderson certainly seemed to think so.
😂 Put a name on so we can see who you talking bout bra💯

Grichuk denied the notion that he was targeting Anderson, explaining that he was speaking generally. He added that Anderson's reply might be indicative of a guilty conscience, though.
Guy, are you really responding to my tweet... SMH. It wasn’t intended for anyone specific but clearly you responding shows you’re guilty of something 💯

Meanwhile, Anderson also said Wednesday that he fancies himself a showman and remained unapologetic for his enthusiasm after crushing a monster home run.
The spat between Anderson and Grichuk wasn't the only discussion on the matter on social media. Cincinnati Reds reliever Amir Garrett offered a fairly balanced take, saying pitchers should use a bat flip as motivation to get the batter out the next time.
My take. He batflips cool. You take it to the chin and wear it. But next time you face him. Strike him out, and do whatever you gotta do. Fist pump, moonwalk, cartwheel. Do whatever. I’m all for it. Both ways. lol
