Report: Reds pursuing Pollock, Keuchel
The Cincinnati Reds are interested in free-agent outfielder A.J. Pollock and free-agent left-handed starter Dallas Keuchel, according to Jon Heyman of Fancred Sports.
The 31-year-old Pollock slashed .257/.316/.484 with 21 home runs and 13 stolen bases across 113 games in 2018 while manning center field. He's considered one of the best outfielders on the open market after Bryce Harper.
The Reds recently non-tendered Billy Hamilton, making him a free agent and opening a vacancy in center field.
The New York Mets have also been in touch with Pollock, who's reportedly seeking a five-year, $80-million deal.
Heyman previously reported the Reds' interest in Keuchel, who posted a 3.74 ERA and 3.69 FIP over 204 2/3 innings in 2018 with the Houston Astros.
