The Chicago White Sox are actively trying to trade outfielder Avisail Garcia, a source told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

Garcia could be a candidate to be non-tendered before heading into his third and final round of arbitration, Feinsand adds.

Projected to earn $8 million in arbitration, according to MLB Trade Rumors, Garcia is one year removed from a breakout season. But after posting an .885 OPS over 136 games in 2017, the outfielder authored a .236/.281/.438 slash line in 2018 - he did manage a career-high 19 home runs, however. Garcia is eligible to become a free agent prior to the 2020 campaign.

The White Sox had the worst outfield in all of baseball by FanGraphs WAR last year but do have some depth at the position with Daniel Palka joining the big club in 2018. There are also some rumblings that they could pursue top free-agent outfielder Bryce Harper.
