During the final two games of the National League Championship Series, the Miller Park faithful was vocal about their disdain for Manny Machado, routinely booing the Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop any moment they could get.

To Machado's credit, though, it didn't seem to faze the slugger, though he did appear to take a shot at the Brewers fans at one point during Game 7.

Asked if he celebrated a bunt single by grabbing his groin at the crowd, Machado responded: "Honestly, I have no idea. All I heard was, 'Manny sucks.'

"I just hear what (the fans) say," Machado continued, per James Wagner of the New York Times. "I just enjoy it and just take it all in. They're always going to boo the best."

To leadoff the second inning, the 26-year-old infielder laid down a perfect bunt on a full count that Mike Moustakas was unable to field quickly enough. Upon reaching base safely, Machado shook his crotch at the crowd as they continued to hurl boos at him. Machado wound up scoring when Cody Bellinger followed up with a two-run home run in the subsequent at-bat.

Machado has been booed at Miller Park ever since he was traded from the Baltimore Orioles to the Dodgers. However, the animosity grew after Machado clipped Jesus Aguilar at first base during Game 4, reportedly being fined for the infraction.

The Dodgers won their second consecutive pennant on Saturday with a 5-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 7 of the NLCS. Los Angeles faces the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday for Game 1 of the World Series.
