The Milwaukee Brewers activated outfielder Lorenzo Cain from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Sunday's contest against the Atlanta Braves, having missed 13 games with a groin strain.
Cain's presence in the lineup has been invaluable as he's hit .291/.394/.438 with eight home runs and 16 stolen bases in 72 games.
It's not all good news for the Brewers, though, as first baseman-outfielder Ryan Braun was placed on the DL with a back strain. He was scratched from Saturday's starting lineup with side tightness, though he did make an appearance as a pinch hitter.
It's the second time the veteran has landed on the DL this season and there is no timetable for his return.
Joining Braun on the shelf is catcher Manny Pina, who was placed on the 10-day with a left biceps strain. Jacob Nottingham was recalled to take his place.
Rounding out Sunday's flurry of moves, the Brewers optioned reliever Aaron Wilkerson to Triple-A and recalled infielder Nate Orf.
