Miggy missed Tigers' walk-off because he was getting coffee in clubhouse
If you were looking for Miguel Cabrera during the Detroit Tigers' walk-off celebrations Wednesday, there's good reason why you wouldn't see him.
As Dixon Machado hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth for the 6-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles, Cabrera was in the clubhouse getting himself a drink.
"I was here inside in the clubhouse looking for coffee because it started getting more cold," Cabrera told reporters, per ESPN. "So I went to get a coffee and get ready for the next at-bat, but when I got my first drink I see Machado hit a home run and I started jumping in the clubhouse."

In Cabrera's defense, it was 36 degrees at first pitch and Machado isn't exactly a home run threat. The second baseman was Detroit's no. 9 hitter on the afternoon and had hit just one career dinger in 118 games entering Wednesday.
