Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Ryan Tepera has followed up a career year with another strong season, and could be an intriguing trade chip for the club heading into the non-waiver deadline.

Trade interest is reportedly building for the club's late-inning reliever who has shared closer duties following Roberto Osuna's absence, a source told Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

The 30-year-old owns a 2.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts over 36 innings while also converting four saves. He owns a 3.27 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 127 appearances over the last three seasons.

The cost to acquire Tepera wouldn't likely be cheap as he's earning just $574,700 this season and has three arbitration years remaining before hitting free agency in 2022. Because of his control, the club doesn't have any urgency to move him.
