There's likely no shortage of wives who would want their husband to look more like Tom Brady, and the greatest clutch hitter in Boston Red Sox history isn't exempt from that list.

David Ortiz is currently enjoying his retirement, and while he respects his fellow Boston G.O.A.T, he has no intentions of following Brady's extreme diet despite his wife's request. No, Ortiz would rather remain Big Papi at the dinner table.

"My wife always wants to talk about Tom Brady's diet and she wants to get me on it," Ortiz told the "Pardon My Take" podcast. "She always wants to talk about it. I'm like, 'Beautiful, I'm gotta eat everything you put in front of me, so let's not even go there. I'm gonna crush it.' I was born one day and I know I'm gonna die another, so I'm gonna enjoy life.

"... You're gonna tell me my boy Brady, he's not suffering because of the diet?"

Brady's diet doesn't allow salt, white sugar, white flour, olive oil, peppers, mushrooms, eggplant, caffeine, or dairy. The New England Patriots quarterback does allow fish, which is something Ortiz can get behind.

"I crush seafood," he said.
