Tim Lincecum could be on the verge of a return to Major League Baseball.
The two-time Cy Young winner, who threw a showcase for roughly 15 teams earlier this month, is weighing offers from two-to-three clubs and will likely sign in the next few days, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers are reportedly among the teams to have expressed significant interest and are willing to offer the 33-year-old a major-league deal. The San Francisco Giants are believed to have some interest, but may not be willing to offer a guaranteed deal.
Lincecum was a four-time All-Star and won back-to-back National League Cy Young awards in 2008 and 2009 with the Giants, but has thrown just 114 2/3 innings over the past three seasons and didn't pitch at all in 2017. In nine starts with the Los Angeles Angels in 2016, he posted a 9.16 ERA, and 2.37 WHIP before being released.
