The Tampa Bay Rays have found a taker for Corey Dickerson.

After surprisingly designating the All-Star outfielder for assignment over the weekend, the Rays swung a deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday, acquiring reliever Daniel Hudson, minor league infielder Tristan Gray, and cash considerations for Dickerson.

The 28-year-old Dickerson hit .282/.325/.490 with 27 home runs, 33 doubles, and 62 RBIs in a career-high 150 games with Tampa last season. He's hit at least 20 home runs in three of the last four seasons and is set to earn $5.95 million in 2018. He'll likely fill the corner outfield void left after the Pirates traded Andrew McCutchen earlier this winter.

"Corey Dickerson adds a quality power threat to our lineup, as evidenced by his 60-plus extra-base hits and 20-plus home runs each of the last two seasons," Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said, according to MLB.com. "Corey is a driven player who will also add a quality presence to our clubhouse."

Hudson goes to the Rays after one season with the Pirates. The right-hander posted a 4.38 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 66 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings last season and is set to earn $5.5 million in 2018 before hitting free agency.

Gray hit .269/.329/.486 with seven home runs and 12 doubles in 53 games in Short-Season A ball.
