Arbitration Deadline Roundup: Donaldson, Machado cash in big

Friday was a busy day around Major League Baseball as front offices agreed to 2018 salaries with their arbitration-eligible players prior to the 1 p.m. ET deadline.

While the players agreeing to deals were already under team control for this season, the deadline was set in order to determine their salary. For those who did not come to an agreement, a number of scenarios are possible. The team and player will each submit a figure that they believe is fair for the player's 2018 salary, but can still negotiate a deal. If the two sides cannot agree by the end of January, they will have a hearing with an arbitrator, who will choose either the player's or team's salary submission. Whichever submission is chosen will be the player's salary for the upcoming season.

Here is a list of every team's arbitration-eligible players, and the terms they agreed to Friday. Players with no 2018 salary listed did not agree prior to the deadline.
