Verlander references Anchorman following heated game vs. Yankees

Detroit Tigers ace Justin Verlander did his best to offset a tumultuous day following an edgy game against the New York Yankees that included eight separate ejections.
Verlander, as he's known to do, took to Twitter after Thursday's heated affair with a tweet referencing a scene from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - a popular comedy film from 2004 starring Will Ferrell.
The scene in question shows character Ron Burgundy discussing an epic brawl between several news anchors and rival news stations.
Though Verlander didn't pitch in the game, he appeared to get into what looked like an acrimonious confrontation with teammate Victor Martinez, who was seen chatting it up with Gary Sanchez shortly after James McCann was plunked by Yankees reliever Dellin Betances.
At least no one was seriously hurt with a trident.
