Darvish leaves Dodger Stadium debut in 7th with trainer
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Yu Darvish's debut at Dodger Stadium ended mysteriously Wednesday after he left in the top of the seventh inning following a brief visit from trainer.
Though he threw 90 pitches, Darvish uncharacteristically struck out only two Chicago White Sox batters - the fewest in 125 career starts, according to ESPN Stats and Info. He also surrendered three home runs on the night for the second time this year.
The Dodgers haven't announced a potential injury for Darvish, who was also celebrating his 31st birthday.
The prized right-hander was acquired from the Texas Rangers at the trade deadline and has come as advertised. In his first two starts in Dodger blue, he has a 1.50 ERA, 20 strikeouts, and only three walks.
