The New York Yankees will welcome Derek Jeter back to the Bronx on Sunday when the club officially retires the former shortstop's No. 2.

There will be no shortage of notable alumni in attendance at Yankee Stadium for the ceremony, though Jeter's former partner on the left side of the infield, Alex Rodriguez, isn't among them.

Rodriguez told Marly Rivera of ESPN he will be in Miami on Sunday to be with his mom on Mother's Day, but did still offer Jeter his congratulations.

While A-Rod wasn't named to the guest list, former Yankees David Cone, Tino Martinez, Hideki Matsui, Paul O'Neill, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams, Joe Torre, and Mariano Rivera are all expected to be in attendance, according to the club.

Despite being teammates from 2004-2014, Jeter and A-Rod were not known for having a strong relationship off the field, and it's believed there's still friction between the two.
