White Sox's Geovany Soto: Returns to catching
Soto (knee) caught a bullpen session Monday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
The veteran backstop sat out a good chunk of last season after undergoing knee surgery, then experienced inflammation in the same knee later in the season. It seems like all those issues are behind him now, so he will likely be able to compete for a job with the major league club during spring training. Given the relative inexperience of his competitors, Soto stands a good chance of breaking camp with the White Sox.
