Bregman commits to represent team USA at WBC

Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman has committed to play for Team USA at the upcoming World Baseball Classic, joining a roster that continues to expand with talent.

The 22-year-old former top prospect took to Twitter announcing his decision to play for the U.S.

Along with Bregman, the Astros have the most players committed to team USA, as the young third baseman will be also be accompanied by George Springer and Luke Gregerson.

Before getting called up by the Astros in July, Bregman hit an impressive .306/.406/.580 in the minors with 20 home runs and 61 RBIs. In 49 games with the Astros, Bregman hit .264/.313/.478 with eight home runs and 34 RBIs.
