Bauer helps Twitter follower with math equations
Just call him "Professor Bauer."
It's no secret Cleveland Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer loves spending time on Twitter and occasionally bantering with followers. But on Friday, class was in session when he exhibited another side to himself.
One follower went out on a limb and asked Bauer if he knew about factoring. He did, and helped her out with a math problem:
@gibson_savanna y+1 is multiplied by both 3x and by 7z so you can factor it out and get (3x+7z) * (y+1). Look for the common term

@gibson_savanna factoring or multiplying it out? That's already fully factored as far as I can tell

@gibson_savanna x+1 squared means x+1 times x+1. Write it the same way as the last one and use the same process

While the math whiz impressed his followers, none was more taken aback than teammate Jose Ramirez, who had no idea what Bauer was talking about:

For what it's worth, Bauer was an engineering major at UCLA.
