Before Kyle Schwarber was the Chicago Cubs' all-time postseason home run leader (and an unexpected addition to their 2016 World Series roster), the burly Indiana native starred for another squad: the Middletown High choir, known affectionately as the Purple Pizzazz.

During his high-school days, Schwarber impressed scouts with his power and arm strength. This footage from 2010 - four years before he was drafted fourth overall by the Cubs - highlights Schwarber's plus vocals and solid-to-average dancing ability.

"I wouldn't take it back," Schwarber told Rick McCrabb of the Journal-News of his time with the Pizzazz. "It's probably one of the better experiences of being in high school."
