Blue Jays' R.A. Dickey: Barely qualifies for quality start Sunday
Dickey (9-13) came away with a no-decision in Sunday's win over the Twins, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks over six innings while striking out five.
Analysis:
A Josh Donaldson throwing error led to two unearned runs and helped salvage a quality start from what was otherwise a rough outing for the knuckleballer. Dickey's managed to keep the ball in the park in August, surrendering just one home run in 29 innings over five starts leading to a solid 3.41 ERA, but given his 1.57 HR/9 rate on the season there's no guarantee he'll be able to maintain that level of success in September.
