Home plate umpire Ryan Blakney made a show of his strike three call to Houston Astros third baseman Luis Valbuena during Sunday afternoon's game.
One glaring problem with the second-year MLB ump's enthusiastic punch out: It was on strike two. Blakney quickly realized his mistake after his display, and threw up two fingers to indicate the actual call. The dumbfounded Valbuena was making the same gesture.
