Syndergaard's slider reduces Fernandez to laughs

Game recognize game. Even when it's humiliating.
Miami Marlins ace Jose Fernandez tipped his cap the only way he knows how during the fifth inning of Tuesday's duel with Noah Syndergaard, letting out a big grin after the New York Mets flamethrower left him flailing at a sharp 93-mph slider.
The strikeout was Syndergaard's 11th on the night, and he finished the superb outing with 12 on 99 pitches, a whopping 72 of which were strikes. Fernandez held strong for five frames, surrendering a single run on three hits with five stirkeouts.
