 Miami took two of three games from the Phillies in a season-opening three-game series, before both teams had a week of games postponed due to positive coronavirus tests in the Miami organization. The Phillies are 17-9 against NL East opponents, versus 4-9 against all other teams (all in the AL East).

 Philadelphia is 12-4 over its last 16 games, the best record in the majors since August 23. They haven't finished a season with a winning record since going 102-60 in 2011.

 A day after shutting out the Braves, 8-0, Miami allowed a franchise-record 29 runs in a 29-9 loss to Atlanta. The Marlins' seven home runs allowed were tied for the most in team history (also seven by Blue Jays last month), while their 23 hits allowed were the second most (28 by Boston in 2003).

 Jazz Chisholm recorded his first career triple, home run, and RBI (2) in yesterday's loss, after entering the game 1-for-16 in six games played. He's the first Marlin all-time to get his first career triple and homer in the same game.

 Sandy Alcantara is 3-0 in his last three starts against the Phillies, with a 1.33 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 20.1 innings. Over the same span (since last June 21) he is 2-9 with a 4.43 ERA against all other MLB teams.

 Alec Bohm had a career-high four RBI in the first game of the Phillies' doubleheader against Boston on Tuesday. Since making his MLB debut on August 13, Bohm ranks third among rookies in base hits (25) and tied for third in RBI (15).

The Phillies right-fielder, who went 3-for-4 with two walks, a solo homer and three runs in Philadelphia's 12-6 win over the host Miami Marlins on Saturday night, could get about eight or so at-bats on Sunday as the teams play a doubleheader to continue a rare seven-game series.

Braxton Garrett allowed three hits over five innings to win his major league debut, and the Miami Marlins beat the Phillies 8-1 to complete a doubleheader sweep and leapfrog Philadelphia for second place in the NL East.
