 Sept. 25, 2014 (6 years ago today)—Current Marlins CEO Derek Jeter, playing his final game at Yankee Stadium, delivered a game-ending RBI-single to give the Yankees a 6--5 win over the Orioles. It was the first time Jeter had produced a walkoff victory in more than seven years (since Aug. 13, 2007 vs. the O's).

 With one more victory, the Marlins will snap their streak of 10 consecutive losing seasons.  The last time the Marlins finished a season at or above .500 (87--75 in 2009), Dan Uggla led the team in home runs (31), Hanley Ramirez in RBIs (106), and Josh Johnson in victories (15--5).

Luke Voit is about to become a more common name atop the leaderboards but part of an illustrious list, joining Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Alex Rodriguez as New York Yankees to top the majors in home runs.
