 Oakland swept a three-game series from the Giants in San Francisco last month, scoring 30 runs over the three games. The A's haven't won four straight games in the series within a single season since doing so in 2008.

 The A's are 18-7 (.750) at home this year, tied for third best in the majors, with a 2.85 home ERA -- also third best in MLB. It's their best record through 25 home games since also being 18-7 in 2003.

 After scoring two runs combined in a three-game sweep at the hands of the Padres last week, the Giants scored 15 runs in winning both games of a two-game set with Seattle. They are averaging 6.5 runs per game in interleague play this year, versus 4.4 per game against NL teams.

 Mike Yastrzemski left Thursday's game with Seattle early with tightness in his calf, and is considered day-to-day. He's the only Giant to play in all 49 games this year, and leads the team in home runs (9, tied with Wilmer Flores), RBI (33) and runs scored (37).

 Tommy La Stella has 22 walks and just eight strikeouts this year, averaging a strikeout every 23.8 plate appearances -- the best rate in the majors among qualifiers. He hasn't struck out in his last 63 plate appearances, the longest streak by an A's player since Kurt Suzuki in 2011 (73).

 Chris Bassitt has won back-to-back starts, allowing just one run in 13.0 innings. His 1.14 home ERA this year (3/23.2) is second best in the majors to the Royals' Brad Keller (0.33; minimum 20 home IP).

The first-place A's (32-19) made it four in a row over the Giants on Friday night with a 6-0 win that clinched Oakland's third consecutive trip to the playoffs.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP)  The Oakland Athletics were more than fine waiting to celebrate a potential AL West title. They haven't won a division crown since 2013, so no rush from this happy-go-lucky group of sluggers.
Jake Lamb hit a two-run homer once Oakland finally got to San Francisco's bullpen, and the playoff-bound A's beat the San Francisco Giants by the same 6-0 score for a second straight game Saturday.
