 The Twins have taken four of six from the White Sox this season, including a 2-1 series win in Chicago in July. Minnesota is 9-3 in their last 12 games at Guaranteed Rate Field, scoring at least ten runs in six of the nine victories.

 The Twins have won ten of their 12 games in September, including a three-game series sweep in Cleveland over the weekend. Their 10-2 mark (.833) is the best in baseball in September, just ahead of San Diego (9-2, .818) and the White Sox (8-3, .727).

CHICAGO (AP)  Adam Engel delivered a tiebreaking pinch-hit single in the eighth inning, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 3-1 on Monday night to increase their lead in the AL Central.
Chicago opened its pivotal four-game set against Minnesota with its ninth win in 10 games. The White Sox (31-16) moved two games ahead of the second-place Twins (30-19).
