Cavan Biggio had a two-run double as part of Toronto's six-run fifth inning in Sunday's 10-8 win over Boston to give him 21 RBI on the season. The Blue Jays and the Dodgers are the only MLB teams to have six players with 20+ RBI this year.

Teoscar Hernandez is riding a 12-game hitting streak in Buffalo, and is batting .333 with six home runs, two doubles, 13 RBI and 12 runs at home this season. The last Blue Jay batter with 8+ extra-base hits, 13 RBI and 12 runs in his first 13 home games in a season was Edwin Encarnacion in 2012.

DJ LeMahieu had 32 hits against the Blue Jays last season (.400 BA), tied for the most by any player against any opponent in MLB (Charlie Blackmon, 32 vs. Padres). Since coming off the injured list on Aug. 29, LeMahieu is hitting .275 with seven strikeouts in 11 games. He was batting an AL-best .411 with seven strikeouts in 19 games before landing on the injured list on Aug. 16.

Since August 18, the Yankees have the majors' third-worst OPS at .642 and are averaging the fourth-fewest runs at 3.44. Through games on August 17, New York had an MLB-best .839 OPS and its 5.68 runs per game trailed only the Dodgers' at 5.79.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP)  Chad Green and Adam Ottavino were routed during a 10-run sixth inning that included Danny Jansen's grand slam, and the Toronto Blue Jays rallied to beat the Yankees 12-7 Monday night and send skidding New York to its sixth loss in seven games.
New York has lost four straight and 14 of 19, dropping into third place in the AL East, two games behind second-place Toronto and 6 1/2 back of Tampa Bay. At 21-20 overall following a 16-6 start, the Yankees have dropped into the AL's eighth and final playoff position.
