 The Rays won all four meetings with the Marlins in 2019 and posted shutouts in each of the two matchups held in Miami. Tampa Bay is 13-6 at Marlins Park since the venue opened in 2012, Miami's lowest winning percentage (.316) at home against any opponent during that period.

 After losing their first five road games of the season, the Rays have gone 9-1 away from home while averaging 7.6 runs per game during that stretch. Tampa Bay has hit multiple home runs in five consecutive road games, one shy of the franchise record of six games set from May 28-June 3, 2017.

 Tuesday's 4-0 and 3-0 doubleheader wins over the Mets gave the Marlins four shutouts through a season's first 25 games for the third time in team history (2004, 2005). Miami is 10-1 this season when allowing three runs or fewer, while the Rays are an MLB-best 8-10 (.444) when allowing four or more.

 Jesus Aguilar, who played 37 games for the Rays in 2019, leads Miami with 20 RBI in 24 games this season. Only Derrek Lee (16 games, 1998) and Moises Alou (19 games, 1997) reached 20 RBI in fewer games to start their tenure with the Marlins.

 After starting the season in a 3-for-33 slump, Manuel Margot leads the majors with a .475 batting average and a .523 on-base percentage since Aug. 10 (min. 40 PA). Margot is a .375 career hitter at Marlins Park and enters the series 9-for-21 (.429) with a 1.264 OPS during a six-game hitting streak there.

 Pablo Lopez, scheduled to start Saturday, has allowed only five home runs in 76 innings (0.59/9 IP) at Marlins Park since the start of last season. Only Dallas Keuchel (0.52/9 IP) and Chris Bassitt (0.53/9 IP) have allowed fewer homers per nine innings in home games over the last two seasons (min. 75 IP).

Marlins, Rays continue to overcome health issues

MIAMI (AP)  Rookie Josh Fleming and four relievers combined on a three-hitter, and Tampa Bay pitchers extended their streak of success at Marlins Park to 36 consecutive scoreless innings in the Rays' 4-0 victory over Miami on Saturday.
Tampa Bay shut out the Marlins for the second night in a row, and also blanked them in both meetings in Miami last year.
