 Houston is 12-2 in its last 14 home games against the Angels going back to September 2018, averaging 7.2 runs and 2.0 homers over that span, with at least one home run in all 14 games.

 The Astros were swept by the Padres in San Diego over the weekend, despite scoring in the top of the first inning in all three games. Houston has held a lead in 10 of its 13 losses this year (76.9 percent), the highest such percentage by any MLB team.

It will be a busy Tuesday for the Los Angeles Angels and Houston Astros, due to a weather precaution that prompted the teams to schedule a doubleheader.
Because Tropical Storm Laura has the potential to turn into a hurricane when it is forecast to make landfall on the Gulf Coast, either late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, Major League Baseball elected to have the teams play two seven-inning games Tuesday. There is no longer a game scheduled for Houston on Thursday.

Angels, Astros set for doubleheader to speed up series

HOUSTON (AP)  Brian Goodwin drove in three runs as the Los Angeles Angels snapped a three-game losing streak with a 12-5 win over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night, splitting the doubleheader created by the approach of Hurricane Laura.
In the first game, rookie Cristian Javier (3-1) allowed three runs in 5 2/3 innings and the Astros used a five-run first to beat the Angels, 6-3.
