 Playing its first games since July 29 due to a COVID-19 outbreak, the Cardinals took two of three games from the White Sox over the weekend. Each of the Cardinals' last seven games has been decided by at least three runs.

 The Cubs lost the last three games of their four-game series with Milwaukee -- all by one run -- after opening the season 13-3. They remain the only MLB team to have scored at least two runs in every game this season.

 Since the start of the 2018 season, Anthony Rizzo is hitting .376 with six homers, 20 RBI and a 1.078 OPS in 35 games against the Cardinals. Rizzo had a .265 career average against St. Louis before 2018.
