 After dropping the first two games of their series against the Padres, the Dodgers won two straight against San Diego, 6-0 and 11-2. The two games boosted their season run differential to +51, by far the highest in baseball (the Twins are second at +33).

 Anthony Rendon went 5-for-11 in the Angels' series against Oakland, hitting a home run in each game. Entering that series he was batting just .103 with one home run in 12 games.

 Los Angeles' bullpen has allowed no earned runs in five consecutive games. The bullpen has a 1.20 ERA this season, lowest by any NL team in its first 20 games of the season since the 1992 Astros (1.03).

The Los Angeles Angels will host the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday afternoon in Anaheim, Calif., in the final game of the three-game Freeway Series, hoping that the recent emergence of third baseman Anthony Rendon is not too late in this shortened season.
Rendon signed a seven-year, $245 million contract with the Angels in the offseason, but he did not get off to a good start. An oblique injury kept him out of the first four games, and then once he began playing, he slumped.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)  Keibert Ruiz took his first swing in the big leagues and watched his drive sail down the right field line. His Los Angeles Dodgers teammates reacted with a joyous collective scream while the ball ricocheted around the stands beyond right field.
Ruiz's magic moment was the latest in a season full of fun for the deep, dominant Dodgers.
