 The Orioles dropped four consecutive games to the Marlins at Camden Yards from Tuesday through Thursday. The managed only one run 10 hits total in the first three games before exploding for seven runs and 11 hits -- including four home runs -- in yesterday's 8-7 defeat.

 The Nationals had a three-game winning streak snapped with Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Mets. The defeat continued a trend for Washington: the Nats have scored at least four runs in all four victories, while tallying two runs or fewer in all five losses.

Washington Nationals manager Dave Martinez and a trainer exited the dugout to go check on the World Series MVP, who's had a nerve issue in his pitching hand. He waved them off.
