The Astros drew even in the series thanks to Carlos Correa's walkoff home run in the 11th inning of Game 2. It was Correa's second career postseason walkoff against the Yankees (also a walkoff double in Game 2 of the 2017 ALCS). He became the second player in MLB history with two postseason walkoffs against the same team -- the other is David Ortiz, also against the Yankees.

Gerrit Cole's last 18 decisions have been wins and he has won seven straight starts, including two in the postseason. Luis Severino returned from injury on September 17 and has allowed two runs in 16.0 innings (1.13 ERA) in four 2019 starts (one postseason).
