 After losing three straight games, the Mets won yesterday, 10-8, against the Braves. New York allowed six home runs in the win, just the second time in franchise history that the team won a game while allowing at least six home runs (July 10, 1999 vs. Yankees).

 With his 39th home run of the season, Pete Alonso tied the National League record for home runs in a rookie season originally set by Cody Bellinger in 2017. Alonso's 39 HR have come in his first 120 games; the only player in the live-ball era with more HR through 120 career MLB games is Mark McGwire (40).

 The Royals were swept in a two-game set against the Cardinals, failing to score a run in either game. Kansas City had just seven at-bats with RISP in that series, going 0-for-7 in those situations.

 Jorge Soler has hit 35 home runs this season, tied with Gary Gaetti (1995) for third most in a single season in Royals history. Only Mike Moustakas (38 HR in 2017) and Steve Balboni (36 HR in 1985) have hit more HR in a season for Kansas City.

 Since the All-Star break, Noah Syndergaard has recorded six consecutive quality starts, posting a 1.91 ERA across 42.1 innings. In his career, Syndergaard has a 2.84 ERA post-All-Star break, compared to a 3.38 ERA prior to the All-Star break.

 Over his last two games, Amed Rosario is 9-for-11 (.818) with five runs scored. Rosario is the first player in Mets history with at least nine hits and five runs over any two-game span.
