 The Cardinals swept a two-game set against the Royals, and despite it being just two games, this was one of two series in MLB this season a pitching staff did not allow a single run (TB, May 14-15 vs. Miami).

 Jose Iglesias has hit safely in every game he's played in August, and his nine-game hit streak is trailing only David Dahl for the longest active streak in baseball. He's scored eight runs in nine games in August, one shy of the nine runs he scored in 25 July games.
