 The Indians are an MLB-best 42-19 since May 28, never losing more than two games in a row in that span. They held the Rangers to just two runs in three games early this week, their fewest runs allowed in any series this season.

 The Twins have lost back-to-back games, allowing 12 and 11 runs. This is the second time this season the Twins have allowed double-digit runs in back-to-back games (also July 23-24) -- they only did so once all of last season.

 Minnesota has edged out Cleveland in the season series so far, 5-4, including three of the last four. The Twins are 27-13 against divisional opponents this season, third best in MLB, while the Indians are 31-19, fifth best in the league.

After losing sole possession of first place in the American League Central by losing the first two games of their four-game series with Cleveland, the Minnesota Twins have a chance to go back two games ahead of the Indians if they can win Sunday afternoon's finale at Target Field in Minneapolis.
Minnesota, behind 5 2/3 shutout innings by Jake Odorizzi, who won his 13th game of the season, moved back a game ahead of Cleveland with a 4-1 victory on Saturday night, snapping a season-high four-game losing streak in the process.

Indians hope to regain share of division lead vs. Twins

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)  After watching their All-Star closer lose a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cleveland Indians bounced right back to win their four-game series in Minnesota and forge another tie for the AL Central lead.
The three-time defending division champions have made a remarkable summer rebound, setting up a tense race with the Twins for the final stretch.
