 The Braves reached 600 runs in their 113th game of the season. In the modern era, the franchise has reached 600 runs in fewer games only twice: in 2003 and in 1900 as the Boston Beaneaters.

 Ronald Acuna Jr. has 100 extra-base hits and 41 stolen bases in his career. The only other NL players all-time with 100+ XBH and 40+ SB in their first two MLB seasons are Andrew McCutchen, Barry Bonds, Darryl Strawberry, Sam Jethroe and Jackie Robinson.

 Nelson Cruz (30) and Max Kepler (30) are the first pair of Twins teammates with 30+ home runs apiece in a season prior to September since Harmon Killebrew and Bob Allison did so in 1963.

 Starting with his age-34 season in 2014, Nelson Cruz has now recorded six straight seasons with 30+ home runs. The only other player all-time with six 30-home runs seasons at the age of 34 or older is Barry Bonds, who had six straight from 1999-04 (based on age on July 1 of season).

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)  After sitting four powerful right-handed bats against Atlanta All-Star starter Mike Soroka, Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli had plenty of pinch-hitting options late in another close game against a likely playoff team.
Baldelli chose wisely with the surging Miguel Sano and Minnesota came up with another meaningful win.
