 The AL Central-leading Twins, who split two games with the Mets in April, are 10-10 since June 19. While the offense is averaging 7.5 runs while slashing .313/.366/.560 in those 10 wins, it is averaging 2.7 runs with a .220/.273/.344 slash line in its last 10 defeats.

 With a major league-leading 171 home runs, the Twins have already outhomered the 2018 version, which finished with 166. However, they've hit just 38.6 percent of their homers at Target Field (66/171), on pace to be the franchise's smallest percentage of home runs at home since the 2010 team was at 36.6 percent.

 Max Kepler drove in his 59th run of the season Sunday to give him one more RBI than he had all of last season. He is one of just three players that had at least 58 RBI last season and have already surpassed that mark, along with the Pirates' Josh Bell and Yankees' DJ LeMahieu.

 Eddie Rosario is hopeful of returning for this series after being sidelined since June 26 with a sprained left ankle. With 20 home runs, 51 runs and 60 RBI, he became the first Twin with at least 20 homers, 50 runs and 60 RBI through 75 games played since Justin Morneau in 2007.

 The Mets are slugging an NL-worst .392 in 12 games since June 27 after leading the league in slugging percentage at .517 in their previous 12 games from June 15-26.

 Jeff McNeil had his 35th multi-hit game of the season Saturday, giving him a MLB-leading 12 since June 18. On the season, he is batting .384 against lefties, the best mark by a left-handed hitter (min. 70 PAs).

The New York Mets did a little rearranging to their rotation in advance of their two-game interleague series at Minnesota against the Twins, as left-hander Steven Matz will get the start Tuesday over an injured Zack Wheeler.
Wheeler, who has been a popular name atop the trade-rumor list, was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday due to right shoulder fatigue. That means Matz's recent move to the bullpen will now be reversed.

Mets juggle rotation in advance of series vs. Twins

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)  The bases were loaded in the ninth inning against sputtering New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz, and the Minnesota Twins had their most experienced hitter at the plate in Nelson Cruz for a classic power-versus-power matchup.
So many of these tense moments have favored the first-place Twins this season, and the ballpark was alive with anticipation. This one went to the hard-throwing Diaz and the Mets, though, thanks in part to an early edge courtesy of Michael Conforto.
