 The Yankees have the AL's best record despite losing an MLB-high 1111 man-games to injury. No other team in MLB has lost over 1000 man games this season, and Toronto ranks second in the AL with 725.

 Despite missing approximately one month, Domingo German has a 10-2 record in 14 appearances (13 starts) this season. German is the third Yankee all-time with 10+ wins in fewer than 15 appearances prior to the ASB, joining Atley Donald (1939) and Red Ruffing (1938 & 1939).

 Among qualified pitchers this season, Aaron Sanchez's 6.16 ERA ranks 77th out of 78 pitchers. Since June 1, Toronto's starting pitching staff has posted a 6.59 ERA, by far the highest in the majors over that time.

NEW YORK (AP)  Many players use the All-Star break as a time to rest. Yankees starter Domingo German spent most of his time preparing for his next start.
German cruised through six innings of three-hit ball, Edwin Encarnacion hit a three-run double and the New York Yankees kicked off the second half with a 4-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night.
